As a way of giving back to the community, Roula founded Community Online
Design (C.O.DE), part of DigitalEve Nova Scotia, to help non-profit organizations
build Websites. Her first project as the program director was redesigning
DigitalEve Nova Scotia web site to reflect the organization spirit and
goals. After the successful launch of the program, Roula took on the role
of Web Director and was elected as Executive Director for the chapter
in 2004.
Roula is owner & director of www.shiftingweb.com,
an interactive web development company specializing in Web design and
Development. She belief that "Wherever you work, you should feel
your workplace is your playground -- a place open to new ideas, tools
and skills -- a place where you can lose yourself in creating new things."
Roula has a Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Management Science and Diploma
in Information Technology. Her background has helped her to develop in
a variety of business aspects. As an Information Technology Professional
and Marketer, she has accumulated several years of experience in web-development
and design, Internet Marketing and project management working with, Trainingscape
an e-learning and animation company, CBC New Media division, Industry
Canada, and IWK.
